Penny

Penny is a Highland micro miniature with a beautiful dun coat that makes her stand out right away. She was the fourth cow we brought to the farm and quickly became the baby of the bunch. Since she’s been picked on a bit by the others, she’s earned some extra love and “special treatment” around here—she’s truly our baby. Even so, Penny is starting to grow into her own. As she gets older, she’s clearly taking inspiration from her favorite Tom Petty song, “I Won’t Back Down.” She’s naturally very calm, but also a little shy and skittish at times—yet she still has a way of winning visitors’ hearts without even trying. Food is definitely Penny’s love language, and she will absolutely let you know when something tastes good. She does the funniest thing—something I’ve never seen another cow do—she’ll stick her tongue out and twist and turn it, like she’s putting on her own little “taste test” show.
